Do it yourself or hire help?
Decision guide · October 14, 2026 · Framework, not a product benchmark.
Hire for a defined problem, not a vague promise to add AI. Start with the workflow, current monthly cost, quality requirement and maximum acceptable implementation cost.
Ask for a small, checkable scope.
- What is included, excluded and billed separately?
- Who owns accounts, workflow files and documentation?
- How will we measure cost and quality before and after?
- What happens when a provider changes pricing or an integration breaks?
- What are the acceptance checks, maintenance obligations and exit process?
- Can you show a comparable delivery and a reference we can contact?
A fee needs a plausible payback.
Compare implementation and ongoing support with conservative savings. If payback is too long, reduce the scope or keep the existing setup. Do not buy a large engagement to solve a small bill.
